Is there any other methods to overcome addiction than 12 steps?
I really don’t like the idea of 12 steps, sorry , and I really don’t want to follow it where I “need” to believe in a higher power , because, unfortunately , I am an atheist.
I want to find out other ways mm, to help myself from addiction.

There are some other ways C.B.T. it is a method that your counter the thought patterns with new ideas it takes along time to change thought patterns. You don’t have to believe in a Higher power or God in 12 step it is a suggestion i have a friend that is 20 years clean and is an atheist.I’m in 12 step clean 14 and a half months i never think of what I believe in or care what other people believe in….

I have no idea about drug rehabs or drug treatment programs. I’m looking for a facility which offers treatment for drug users like my sister. She parties a lot and she takes a lot of club drugs. I’m worried about her health. I want to accompany her to a rehab or something to get treatment but I don’t know if there’s a rehab facility in Lewiston.

I know that there’s an alcohol rehabilitation in Lewiston but I’m not sure if they also offer drug treatment programs. The facility which offers treatment to drug abusers that is nearest to your place is in Westbrook. I hope your sister agrees to undergo treatment. A few hours of driving won’t hurt, right?

My son Ethan has finally agreed to attend a treatment program to overcome his crystal meth addiction. He experienced the negative effects of the drugs to his body and he realized that there’s still hope for a better life. I’m so happy that he’s taking this step into changing his life for good. It’s nice that your son finally realized how precious his life is. Using drugs has never been the solution to any problem for it makes everything worse. I’ll include some sites where you can locate different drug rehabilitation centers. There’s so many to choose from and I’m sure you’ll find one that will work best for Ethan.
