@TheArmo1 Yep. Today is my 31st day clean. Completely cold turkey. I was taking four 60MG Oxycontin a day, and six to seven 10/325 Percocet’s a day. My fiance did Suboxone treatment, i went cold turkey. I drove her to treatment, back home, picked her up and drove home everyday for the first 6 days of my withdrawal, that was driving 4 hours everyday while in the worst part of the withdrawal.
It’s all about overcoming the situation you put yourself into. And growing the hell up.
I admire his initiative. However, he began taking the medication FOR a reason. His back/hip/whatever pain WILL not go away. I feel bad for the people who legitimately have reasons for taking pain killers, because they take the drugs because they feel the pain, and become addicted because of that.
Hearing this treatment. Made me so happy. I almost teared up, to hear I can get over my addiction and skip the withdrawals. I can quit… I want to quit… The detoxing is the part that makes it impossible for me. But I heard they are charging over 20,000 dollars for this treatment. WHO CAN AFFORD THAT? God I want this treatment so bad. But no way in hell I can pay that much.
As a pharmacist I can tell you, this “rapid detox” is bullshit. The success rate is bullshit as it the rehab bullshit. The only way you get better is dealing with the withdrawal and coming to terms with yourself mentally. I am a pharmacist and I USED to be a Hydrocodone addict.
@opiatescom 22 Grand? So you are only interested in helping out rich people, is that correct? Doesn’t make much sense in only offering this to a small group of people. From a business standpoint atleast. Medicine in our country is so corrupt.

@BLACKLACDTS Sure. We are located in California. Usually for a Suboxone detoxification you are required to spend a week with us and the cost is $21,800. That includes 3 to 4 day inpatient at the hospital, 3 to 4 days inpatient at Domus Retreat ( our after care) , 6 weeks psycological follow up. Your transportation to and from aiport , lodging and food while you are her for the week.

@yzof2 Sorry that you have not met a lot of people…By the way or are the success rate of the 12 step program for opiate patients? Do you know? I guess you cannot know becasue there are NO published success rates. With the Waismann Method there is a 64 to 74% after one year.

What if you are dirt poor and have no insurance?..Suffer and/or hit the street?
The thing is that people in the condition above have only a few choices and it usually ends up being a few bags of dope or scouring the street for some Roxies.

@WeDieYoung1083 people as ignorant as you really ruin this country. i was in 8th grade when my dentist gave me 60 vicodin for two fillings me and my poor mom didnt even know what the fuck opiates were. so after that first dose i was hooked felt better than sex to me. so 6 years later im on suboxone and weaning down it allows me to work take care of my family and not lose my F#%@^8 home from blowin my money on ocs. only go to the doc 1 every 3 months so next time do some research ignorant prick

This is not a good form of treatment, it does not deal with the psychological aspects of it. Its awful, this is not good medicine.Now he is addicted to maldroxin.
