Hon, addicts are master manipulators. He's using your fears of being able to support yourself to manipulate you into supporting him in a play for a compromise treatment programme, or maybe he's just not ready like he's leading you into thinking. Tell him to worry about just one thing for now, & that's starting on his journey to recovery, and to leave the rest up to you. I can promise you he'll keep on finding ways to worm out of entering treatment if you allow it. Excuses, excuses. Hon, addicts are master manipulators.
