seriously, and you still drink and try to drive?

not sure who hillbilly22 is but some people have a brethalyzer installed into the ignition system of their car, so they have to blow clean to be able to start it
most of the time governents just take someone’s licence, but some locations a car is necisarry (rural locations, etc) so they install this to stop them from DUI.

I purchased the BacTrack S80 in August from amazon and I am extremely pleased with the product. First and probably most important, it seems to give very accurate results. Three years ago I received one of those cheap keychain units as a gift and it read all over the map and never worked well. Here, with this product, if I test myself 3 times in a row I get the same test result 3 times, so you know it’s consistent. And if I test a sober person and then a very drunk person, there is no crossover or contamination, which is something I worried about (and really researched) before this purchase. So $199 is not cheap, but you get what you pay for here in terms of accuracy.
Besides being happy with the accuracy, I really like the small size. I have an LG Envy phone and the Bactrack S80 is almost the same size. I didn’t consider size prior to my purchase, but because it’s portable, I’m much more likely to take the BacTrack out when I drink, which is really the whole point of having it.
I appreciate the advanced features and being able to adjust the flow settings, but mainly I just turn it on and test. As of today, I’m already on test # 144. Yeah, it’s been passed around and used by a lot of people already. 5 stars for its accuracy and reliability alone.

I normally don’t write reviews but felt like I had to with the S80. This is a really great unit. I can’t beleive how small and how accuarate the readings are. My friend is a police office and we tested the S80 against one of his units and they were dead on with the readings. I had bought some cheaper units in the past that didn’t seem to work too well but the S80 is the real deal. Definitely worth paying a few bucks more to get the real deal.

After girlfriend got a DUI, I bought her one of these. She was skeptical, but after testing it many nights in a row (drinking in the name of research of course), we were pleasantly surprised to find it very accurate. It’s expensive but its absolutely worth it for the quality. I can’t believe that the police are the only ones who have access to these. By the time you’re using it with a cop, its usually too late. FYI – the instructions say that you want to wait 15 to 20 minutes after you’ve had a drink, otherwise it’ll pick up the alcohol still in your mouth and read too high.
The one I ordered came promptly with nice packaging. I’m here on Amazon because I’m ordering another one for myself.

I believe this model to be much more accurate than my $100 alcomate. I say this as a group of us can do multiple back-to-back tests, and come back to someone and have the same results as our original test. You can’t go wrong with this purchase!

I have owned the B70 for a few years now and it was a great product. It has saved my friends and I many times, and also provided some great entertainment.
I just got the new S80 and I’m very impressed with the improvements that have been made. First, it is easier to use correctly (simply blow into like normally as opposed to “fogging the mirror” like the B70). This has made it simpler for people who don’t use the breathalyzer often to get accurate readings.
I also really like the extra digit of precision this model offers, particularly when approaching the .08 number
I’ve had a breathalyzer for years now and I can’t recommend enough that people own one. This product is MUCH cheaper than the costs of any DUI you would ever get.

I decided to purchase the S75 after my sister gave me an old breathalyzer she had received from Sharper Image or a store like it. I definitely saw the value in using a breathalyzer when going out and having any amount of alcohol to drink, but the results I got were all over the map, so I questioned its accuracy. That meant it was time for a new purchase!
I checked out a number of brands and models of Breathalyzers and went with the S75. This model is one of the “professional” models from Bactrack, so it’s the same technology used by law enforcement. More than the fact that sounds good — it really works! I have used it – actually I have purposely tested it, in different circumstances and over time and results are accurate and consistent. It’s easy to use and small enough to stash away at home or in the glove compartment – highly recommended!

This latest BACtrack Breathalyzer is very accurate (giving you the extra decimal of precision). Additionally, the calibration time has been shortened from the earlier models, which is nice when multiple people want to get quick readings before driving home. Recommended for anyone who wants to get a reliable result from their Breathalyzer quickly.

Had high hopes for this unit, we party a great deal and I am sure I have driven home over the limit even if I “knew I could do it”. My life and wife were not worth taking chances, so I got this to make 100% sure I am qualified to drive. Where we live public transportation to party is not an option. When it works it is accurate, easy to use and gives repeatable results. However, I often get flow errors no matter how hard or soft I blow, despite changing many settings. I would have rated it lower except only I get the flow errors, and with patience I eventually get it to work. If not for this inconvenience, I would have given it five stars. I recommend it highly, and urge you to consider if the price of a good quality unit – $100 or so premium over crap worth the consequences of getting an inaccurate unit. Unless you are getting it as a gag device, you may make some pretty serious, potentially life altering decisions based on the results this unit gives you. Think about it.
